Corona information for your guests

How you can use the content of the Austrian National Tourist Office for your website

How does a winter vacation work in the current situation? What safety measures must Austrian tourism professionals implement to ensure that their guests have a carefree vacation and to position Austria as a responsible host country at home and abroad? The Austrian National Tourist Office (ANTO) is constantly researching and updating answers to these and many other questions about holidays in Austria. This editorially prepared content is available in various languages and can be used by you to inform your guests. NEW: We have now also compiled a large number of pictures and information videos for you on the topic of "safe travel" in the city and in the mountains: From safe arrival, safe skiing to a safe thermal spa stay.

We at the ANTO notice every day that the need for information on the part of our (potential) guests is very high. According to a recent study on the psychology of skiing vacations during Covid-19, the demand for "skiing vacations in Austria" remains high. Uncertainties, however, are keeping guests from a booking decision. Furthermore, there is a great understanding for safety measures among ski vacationers, who demand clear rules and a constant flow of information about the situation on site.

Those safety measures are illustrated by ANTO on this landing page at austria.info. This content is available in several languages – recently, we’ve also added extensive video and photo material. You are welcome to use this content to keep your guests fully informed.

Four ways to incorporate our content

There are four ways in which you can use the content of the Austrian National Tourist Office to provide information to your guests.

1. Link to the landing pages or articles of the Austrian National Tourist Office
2. Direct embedding of the ANTO content into your website via an iframe
3. Use of text blocks from the ANTO content database
4. NEW: Use of multimedia content pieces from the ANTO picture database for partners and Youtube

Variants one and two have the advantage that you do not need to do anything after you have created the links or embedded the content for the first time. If the content on the ANTO landing pages changes – and of course we keep the information under constant review – then you are automatically up to date. With variant three and four, multimedia must be made manually.

When playing the content on social media, we recommend using the hashtag #austriacares.

Variant 1: Link to landing pages or articles in various languages

This variant is our clear recommendation. Simply create a link on your website to the ANTO landing page in the desired language and you don't have to worry about a thing. The editorial staff of the Austria National Tourist Office will keep the landing pages up to date. Alternatively, you can create links to individual content pieces, for example our article on entry regulations or the FAQ "What happens if I get sick on holiday". Please find below an overview of which content pieces are available in which languages.

Variant 2: Direct embedding of the ANTO content into your website

With this variant, the content is embedded directly into your website via a so-called iframe. Here too, you do not need to worry about anything after the initial setup. All content updates carried out by the ANTO editors are automatically displayed on your page. To transfer the content in either German or English, copy the

Variant 3: Use of text blocks from the ANTO content database

The content database is the central tool of the Austrian National Tourist Office, in which we store texts, images and videos and make them available to our partners. If you want to integrate this information directly into your website, you can copy the content from the ANTO content database. Caution! The editorial staff keeps the content up-to-date. Text copied by you and integrated onto your website is not automatically updated. You will not be informed when any texts are changed! We therefore recommend variants one or two for most users.
